Orchestra Nova Northwest
Orchestra Nova Northwest is a professional orchestra serving the greater Portland area. PCSO cultivates and champions a diverse community of musicians and audiences through affordable and accessible performances. In addition to programming well known composers, we intentionally showcase living, local, and female composers and collaborators who represent our diverse and changing community.
ISing Choir
We believe in the power of music to connect and change the world. Our mission is to support local nonprofit organizations through sharing innovative and exceptional choral music.
Since our founding in 2005, ISing has worked to share high-quality music to make our community better. We believe that music can make the world a better place, and we put that into practice by raising money for nonprofit organizations in Beaverton, Washington County, and the greater Portland area.
ISing is led by Stephen Galvan.
Bach Cantata Choir
Led by Ralph Nelson, the Bach Cantata Choir's mission is to sing the entire set of cantatas by Johann Sebastian Bach over a period of 30 years. We are a choir of about 50 members plus an orchestra of between 8 to 15 members depending upon the concert.
An annual tradition is their “Super Bach Sunday” that his held the same day as the Super Bowl.
Big Horn Brass
Big Horn Brass was founded in 1983 by Andrew Harris. The performers are thirteen brass and two percussion, the finest you will hear anywhere. They combine their diverse musical skills and love of music with exacting perfection from each element in their repertoire.
The mission of Big Horn Brass is to enrich the quality of life in Oregon by providing high quality music performances to community audiences, providing new brass repertoire through original compositions and arrangements, and fostering music education in schools and concert halls.
Art Abrams Swing Machine
Oregon Music Hall of Fame Inductee Art Abrams founded this band to be a dance band and a concert jazz orchestra. He has since released 4 albums featuring members of the bands as soloists.
Art was kind enough to have me featured on “Serenade for Bass Trombone” written by Larry McVey, former director of Jazz Studies at Mt. Hood Community College. This can be heard on our album, “Swing Low, Swing Hard.”
Portland Chamber Orchestra
As a collaborative innovator in the creative sector, Portland Chamber Orchestra is honored and excited to provide beauty and a sense of community to all of Portland. We are committed to excellence –making our community happier, more vibrant, and ensuring all residents the opportunity to connect to the arts and to each other.
Trombones in Middle Earth
Inspired by Howard Shore’s Soundtrack from “The Lord of the Rings,” Orchestrator/Arranger Brad Jensen sets this epic score to a massive trombone choir.
Performers come from all over North America to assemble for this fantastic performance opportunity.
Brad’s latest version “2nd Breakfast” premiered at the 2024 International Trombone Festival in Ft. Worth, TX.
